About West Islip
West Islip is an exciting community located 45 miles east of New York City in the Town of Islip. It is known for beautiful beaches, excellence in education, and includes a mix of residential and business properties.
Originally settled more than one thousand years ago by the the Secatogue Indians, West Islip is situated on over 4000 acres housing over 30,000 residents. Community groups and organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, West Islip Beautification Society, West Islip American Legion, the Symphony Orchestra, Women of West Islip, and Youth Enrichment Services along with the West Islip Fire Department all offer support and cultural enrichment to our residents. We encourage participation, engagement and lending a hand in local community events.
West Islip Chamber of Commerce
The West Islip Chamber of Commerce was formed on May 3, 1978, and incorporated in New York. We are committed to promoting West Islip businesses and enriching the local community through the many events and functions we sponsor. In addition we publish an annual Chamber Directory both print and digitally.
Through community involvement, networking, philanthropy and publicity, we help our local businesses thrive. By joining together with the Chamber of Commerce, your business can achieve great things. Much like "Consumer Reports", being a Chamber member gives your business an edge by instilling consumer confidence. We can also help put your business on the map by increasing awareness and encouraging consumers to do business with you. You'll be able to participate and get featured in our Member Spotlight. Possibly most important, it gives you access to networking and allows you to cultivate referrals.
