Welcome G&M Trophy Long Island: A Heartwarming New Addition to West Islip

West Islip has a rich history of welcoming businesses that become integral parts of the community. This tradition continues as we warmly welcome G&M Trophy Long Island to our local landscape. With a legacy of 51 years in Monmouth & Ocean county, NJ, this family-owned business is opening its first branch here, and it promises to bring not just trophies, awards, and plaques but also a commitment to becoming a community staple.

A Legacy Journeying from New Jersey to Long Island

G&M has a long-standing reputation for quality and community engagement. Run by the Giberson family, the business specializes in creating trophies for local schools, sports and recreational programs. They have also branched out into other avenues such as dance and theatre arts awards, Hall of Fame plaques, promotional products for small businesses, and medals & trophies for Dojos.

The Gibersons are not just business owners; they are active members of the community. Having moved to West Islip in April of 2020, they've woven themselves into the social fabric of our town.

Meet the Giberson Family

James (Jay) Giberson, the proud patriarch, hails from a teaching background and has spent almost two decades working in the restaurant industry. For him, the business is more than just a job; it's a cherished family tradition. His wife Maria, originally from Farmingdale, has also devoted herself to teaching, shaping young minds for the past 15 years. Earlier this year, a health scare with their youngest daughter led them to reassess life's priorities, prompting them to relocate their business, G&M Trophy, to their local community of West Islip.

The couple's commitment to family extends to their two beautiful daughters, Angelina and Gabriella. Angelina, the elder of the two, is an energetic preschooler who has just enrolled in Mini Kickers in West Islip and has a love for dancing. Gabriella, the youngest, is the radiant light of the family, known affectionately as "Inspector Gabby" for her role as the resident Trophy Inspector.

Creating a Legacy

Having grown up in a family business, Jay understands the value of hard work and community engagement. His father always hoped that one of his sons would carry on the legacy, and Jay is honored to do so. For the Gibersons, G&M Trophy isn't just a business; it's a way to participate in and contribute to the community they now call home.

A Community Staple in the Making

As new members of the West Islip community, the Gibersons are committed to making a positive impact. They are just like any of us—keen on spending quality family time, traveling, and exposing their children to the wonders of the world. They are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome they have received and are eager to serve the community that they have come to love.

So, West Islip, let's extend our warmest welcome to G&M Trophy Long Island. As we have done for generations, let's support local businesses that are grounded in family values and community spirit. And while you're at it, say hello to Inspector Gabby; she’s sure to put a smile on your face!

Thank you, G&M Trophy Long Island, for choosing West Islip as your new home. We look forward to being a part of your journey and can't wait to see all that you will bring to our community.
